The tropical wave located over the center of the peninsula yesterday is now along a line from Tampa to Jacksonville, still moving slowly westward.

The sounding shows continuation of the moist unstable air mass with weak southeasterly winds in the low levels rotating clockwise to southwest, but without much strengthening aloft.

By 1630Z storms originating in northeast Florida near the trough line had moved to just north of Cape Canaveral with debris clouds stretching over the Cape. Disturbed weather and layered cloud was widespread near the Cape, but there were no obvious thunderstorms in the immediate vicinity.
