High-pressure with light gradients continued over central Florida with a weak cold front over Jacksonville and the Panhandle.

The sounding indicates a moderately moist and slightly unstable day with very light winds and little shear below the termination of the sounding at 250 mb. The 200 mb chart shows a light gradient suggesting that the windspeed and shear above 250 mb were also small.

By 20Z the east coast sea breeze became active mainly from Cape Canaveral south to a line from Lake Okeechobee to Ft. Pierce. There was also one cell west of the Cape near Orlando. These cells remained nearly stationary and did not produce large anvils.
