High-pressure with weak gradients continued over Florida.

The sounding is moister than the previous day. Light southerly winds below 400 mb gave way to strong northerly winds aloft in response to an upper level high pressure ridge in the Gulf of Mexico west of Florida.

Storms formed north of Cape Canaveral around Daytona Beach along the east coast seabreeze line at 1630Z and covered central Florida later in the day. Anvil movement was predominantly from the northeast, suggesting that the anvil heights may have been near 150 mb.
