A weak trough over the Jacksonville/Tallahassee area punctuated weak high pressure over Florida.
The sounding indicates a moist, unstable profile with a K index of 38. Winds from the surface to 30000 ft were light with little shear.


This tropical air mass produced disturbed weather over all of central Florida. There was little organization to the storms and no significant movement from anvils. The first storms over the Cape occurred at 1630Z.
